Since its redesign in 2021, the Swiss watchmaker, Fortis, has introduced a variety of new additions to its Marinemaster line. The latest is the new Marinemaster M-44 Black Resin Gold. As its name suggests, the dive watch has a bidirectional bezel made partly of 18-carat yellow gold, while the case is made of recycled stainless steel.
The displays and hands, including the luminescent coating, are color-coordinated with the gold part of the bezel, creating a distinct contrast against the textured gray background. Behind this expressive dial, caliber “Work 11” powers the hands. The movement earns a COSC chronometer certificate for proven accuracy and offers a “weekend-proof” power reserve of 70 hours.
This automatic movement is supplied by Swiss mechanical specialist Kenissi. Well protected, it translates to a special message behind a closed case “No appointments and a horizon ahead.” Attached to the rubber strap with the same decor as the dial, the edition is limited to 50 pieces. Retail price is $6,300.
