New York Harbor was once considered one of the most polluted waterways; But thanks to projects like the Billion Oyster Project, oysters are thriving there.
It’s Oris’ new limited edition Aquis Diver that supports the Billion Oyster Project, a hugely ambitious non-profit with the goal of restoring one billion oysters to New York Harbor.
This summer, Oris’ mission continues in collaboration with the Billion Oyster Project, a non-profit dedicated to restoring New York Harbor, once one of the world’s most polluted waterways.
In support of the project’s pioneering work, Oris released the New York Harbor Limited Edition, a 2,000-piece limited edition watch based on their high-performance Aquis diver’s watch.
Its distinctive features include a green mother-of-pearl dial inspired by the color of the water of the famous harbor and an oyster shell.
If you turn the watch over, you’ll find that its case-back sports an engraved Molyph motif, a first for Aquis!
To match its sea green MOP dial, the Aquis New York Harbor LE comes with an additional multi-piece stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp with extension along with a green rubber strap.
If you take the appropriate shocker on the back of the watch, you can keep the Oris 733 automatic caliber with its power-reserve of 300 meters in the case for 38 hours.
The new Aquis New York Harbor Limited Edition watch is now available. It has a Swiss MSRP of CHF 2,400.
Thoughts? Although oysters are known as aphrodisiacs – I’m not quite sure how sexy these aquis are? You be the judge.
