Watch time New York 2022 Less than two months away, it returns to Gotham Hall in midtown Manhattan for its seventh run on October 21-23. The three-day event is dedicated to bringing together collectors, fans and industry professionals for a unique and personal experience. Breguet It is one of over 30 watch brands participating in the event to showcase the latest timepieces and, for Breguet, the new Classic Calendar 7337 A piece to look at.
The Classic Calendar 7337 is the first model in the Breguet Classic Collection, an icon of modern style while maintaining the strong historical essence of the brand. Earlier this year, Breguet introduced two new color variants of its classic calendar 7337, one with an 18K white gold case and the other with a rose gold case. Both options are versatile and comfortable, measuring 39mm with a height of 9.95mm.
At a glance, what is quickly apparent in the design is that its main dial sector of the dial is centered, curving towards the 6 o’clock position with ample gap between the 12 o’clock indicator and the bezel. Occupying that space instead is a lunar phase indicator with a hand-beaten gold moon above a blue lacquered sky. Above the main dial are windows for the day and date as well as at the 2 and 10 o’clock positions, respectively. Hours and minutes are indicated by blue hands pointing to Roman numeral hour markers.
To power the hands of the display, Breguet chooses the Caliber 502, one of its slimmest movements. At just 2.4mm thick, it uses an open barrel and off-centered oscillating weight to minimize the space it occupies. Each of the movement’s 236 parts has a detailed finish, which is brought to life by the exhibition caseback. A white gold oscillating weight is hand-engraved on a rose engine with a circular barleycorn pattern, while other parts display chamfered finishes and a Côtes de Genève motif.
The Breguet Classic Calendar 7337 in white and rose gold retails for around $45,800.
