Watch time New York 2022 It returns to Gotham Hall in midtown Manhattan from October 21-23 for its seventh annual iteration. Over the course of the weekend, a diverse selection of over 30 participating watch brands will showcase their most sought-after releases from the past year, bringing industry experts, professionals and enthusiasts together for one of the biggest watch events of the year.
Joining the impressive lineup of brands at this year’s show is the French watchmaker L. LeroyThis gives attendees a chance to see something new Tourbillon regulator skeleton art deco, directly and personally. Together with the tourbillon with the traditional art of skeletonization, it is a unique watch that serves as a nod to vintage Art Deco styles.
The exceptional timepiece case is crafted from 18K gold and measures 41mm in diameter with a thickness of 10.50mm. Channeling Art Deco influences, the sides of the case are overset, each engraved triangle using a vintage-inspired angularity and working together with the skeletonized dial design. A luxurious polishing is applied throughout, with thoughtful touches of grained finishing adding some contrast to the sides of the case.
On the dial, the aforementioned skeleton pattern shows more Art Deco influences, revealing the heart of the watch and showcasing L. Leroy’s incredible watchmaking abilities. At 12 o’clock, the watch’s namesake tourbillon works in a cage, while below that the main time display is displayed in traditional regulator fashion. Notably, the sub-dial that indicates the time is decorated with 12 numerical indices to measure the hour, while the minutes are indicated by a long, blue central hand.
Powering the unique timepiece is caliber LL512, an automatic winding tourbillon mechanism capable of a 52-hour power reserve. Due to the skeletonization of the dial, the movement acts as the main focal point of the watch, visible on the face side as well as through the exhibition caseback. On either side, the precise finish of the movement clearly shines through, with each part of the mechanism hand-engraved, an art uncommonly practiced in the world of horology.
The L. Leroy Tourbillon Regulator Skeleton Art Deco is a unique piece, price available upon inquiry.
